Comments about Mavic Espoir Glove 2013:
I do so wish the apparel mfgr.s would start spending a little more on production and exert some tighter quality control over the gear they make in SE Asia. It varies so much... one batch is fine; the next is junk.
Sometimes you get both on the same article, case in point these gloves. I've worn Mavic gloves in the past and they've been great, a pretty good glove at a fair price (nice to know since Pearl Izumi's quality has $$$lipped quite a-ways).
But this current pair... the fit around the the fingers is quite tight (I'll assume this will stretch out a bit in time) but the fit around the thumbs is already cavernous: I can literally fit both of my thumbs side-by-side into the glove with room to spare.
Who sews these things? We should pity them...
For 25 years I've worn a standard medium-sized glove, and yet for the past six of those years I've had to order large (if not XL), hope for the best and, as often as not, return them a couple of times until I get a pair that finally fit.
I'm tired of it.
