These are so good , I bought a second pair.
The pad and whole design concept is ahead of the pack. The material is unbelievably comfortable.
The main issue you need to be aware of is that the various sizing tables are whacked as my female friend said. The sizing table used for these shorts is the Mavic female table. Amazingly , it works, or at least it did for me. If you use the Mavic tables on their website, then you will need to buy at least 2 sizes larger because if you buy the Mavic size then, though you will be able to get them on, it appears that the material will be so stretched that it is see through and some people object to that. I use them for road riding, but next weekend, I shall be using them in the mountain trails of Victoria and I am looking forward to it because these are now my best ones.

I really like the simple color scheme (black), light weight, and promise of performance of these bibs. They were comfortable when I tried them on but I quickly realized that I just couldn't wear them. The fabric felt extremely thin in crucial places (maybe a good thing for performance reasons) and the chamois and supporting fabric ended short of where I wanted it to in front and left me feeling, er, a bit naked in front. I'm not particularly modest and use bibs by Capo and light-weight bibs by Craft with which I do not have similar problems. I really wanted to like these, but just couldn't see wearing them.

      Sized for a toddler

Comments about Mavic Stellar Altium Stealth Short '11:

The sizing is so wrong that even though I oredered X Large (I ususally wear med/large), it would probably be too small for a 10-year old.

      Euro sizing!

Comments about Mavic Stellar Altium Stealth Short '11:

Some are complaining the sizing runs small. The size chart shown here is the European (International) sizing, which runs a size smaller than US sizing. To compound things, Mavic does run small, like Castelli. So you (may) have to go up two sizes, once because of the Int'l size chart, and one more because the brand runs small...

These are simply the most comfortable bibs I have worn in over 25 years of ridnig. They look a little odd when you take them out of the package. But wear them on one ride and you will agree....you forget you have anything on. Yet another top of the range offering from Mavic!!!

Comments about Mavic Stellar Altium Stealth Short '11:

These bibs had lots of promise after my first ride in them, which was a 13 mile offroad sprint race. They are very comfy and provided good breathability on a hot 85 degree day. However after my next use (a 36 mile trail ride) the inner thigh fabric on my right leg was completely worn through! There was a hole about 1 inch long. The inside of my left thigh has a hole about 1/2 long. I've got several other pairs of much less expensive shorts/bibs that have hundreds of miles on them without this problem. I'm very disappointed in the quality of this product, expecially at the very high price point. I will be work back with Jenson/Mavic to try and resolve the matter.

Fit too small and are too lightweight... as in unless you wear something underthem for sure they will be see through. I was wearing red underwear to try them on and in bright light you could see clear as day... also the pad wasn't as good as I expected... I've seen better on cheaper lycra
