Comments about Maxxis Advantage Folding Tire:
Not enough people explain where the ride to review a tire. I live in upstate NY and ride rocks, roots, hardpack, loose sandy soil, mud, piles of leaves. I run both the 2.1 front and rear for longer xc rides. Great rolling, better braking, very sturdy and confident in the corners. When doing more down hill or constant climb and descend I run a 2.35 front with this 2.1 in the rear and works perfect. Buy these tires, I have down hill with the same tire in a 2.4 and now xc in a 2.1 and they are the most predicatble tire I have riden.

Comments about Maxxis Advantage Folding Tire:
Tire is very fast and handles extremely well. Overall has good traction except in mud but it is not a mud tire. Tire is bigger than the size stated. I have these on my hardtail.

Comments about Maxxis Advantage Folding Tire:
This was a replacement for a set of Maxxis Crossmarks that had worn out. I like these better for the kind of riding I do (XC, relatively slow pace). They have a lot more grip on roots and loose rocks than the Crossmarks did and yes, they are probably a little slower rolling but it's not really noticable. The added grip more than makes up for it. Highly recommended. For reference, I run these at 38 psi and they are the 2.1 size.
Comments about Maxxis Advantage Folding Tire:
I like this tire a lot. I'll have to give it some more time on the trails but right off the bat these things performed amazingly well. Very confidence inspiring and makes me feel like I have a little more give response because of the soft rubber compound. Maxxis claims that although the tire is soft its treadlife is long.
