Comments about Maxxis Ardent Folding Tire:

Have these in 2.4 on a 29er hardtail singlespeed shreader. they are PERFECT for this application. I Will never buy another tire again. Somehow they are super grippy, but stiff and fast rolling at the same time. So good.

Comments about Maxxis Ardent Folding Tire:

One of the best tires you can buy for XC and/or all mountain riding. The grip is un-matched and it rolls well. Even the larger 2.4 rolls well for such a big tire.

The 2.4 casing is beefey and has MUCH taller pins than the 2.25. Try the 2.4 up front and the 2.25 for better rolling resistance on the rear.

nice side walls not to thin or to thick set up on easton havens tubeless with slime pro. the aired rite up the first time Rolls very well for the type of tire it is the tire it replaced was a specy. captain an for the very little bit of drag added the grip more then makes up for it. I got the 2.4 after setting the tire to 22psi it came up at 59mm so just short of a 2.35. ican see it being a true 2.4 after some miles get on it im very happy with this tire as a front. an spoke with some ppl that use it as a rear. an they say as a rear it works just as good

Great grip. This season I've burned through the sidewalls (ripped) of my Racing Ralph and a Conti X-King. Ardent has not failed me yet and I've been riding some pretty sharp trails.

Not the lightest tire, but no one pays me to ride, so not the end of the world

Though I hate to echo everyone else, it is a great tire, and one i will now on use mainly as a rear tire in the loose/hard/chunky conditions of the CO front range. Slips much less than other tires i have used in the back and rolls well despite its traction. On both my 29 and 26 bikes

Comments about Maxxis Ardent Folding Tire:

I've long been a huge Nevegal fan, but when I had my Intense 6.6, I hook it up with the Ardent's, I decided I'd give them a few weeks to see if I liked them. Very glad I did too, as this tire has completely changed my view on what I mtn bike tire should be. Right away you can tell it's a much faster tire than the Nevegal, and so far it's exceeded the Nev in cornering too. Tight turns I usually drift around I was now railing like never before. These tires grip the dry and loose trails like nothing I've ridden before. Haven't had a chance to put them to the test on wet roots yet, but given how impressive they've been so far I'd be very surprised if they didn't excel there as well.

                Well done Maxxis!

Comments about Maxxis Ardent Folding Tire:

I have this on the rear as a 2.25. It rails around corners, confidence builder! Also tough with beefier sidewalls then the Nevegal it replaced. Does not handle slimmy mud well when climbing. Rolls a little better than the Nevegal, although that is not saying much.
