Good when pressure is dialed in
I run this tire on the rear of my 26" FS. At higher pressures, it tends to lose traction with the loose rock/smooth rock terrain -- took a little bit to dial in the right pressure for my trails. If it's even a little bit wet, these things start sliding all over the place at my normal pressures. Difficult to mount these over my UST wheels, but when I did, they seated with a hand pump no problem. Solid tire that I'm continually beating up and they keep on turning.

PROS: Durable, Attractive Design

CONS: Difficult To Install

Good roller
I do a lot pavement/hardpack and was looking for something that worked better than the High Roller's I had.... the Crossmarks roll and turn really well on the street. Still work ok off-road on hardpack and rocks. When I shuttle I switch tires to Minion. If I had to use just one tire it would be Ignitor

Bulletproof sidewalls, but ...
These have been used primarily in the midwest, but I also run them during my yearly trips to the Rockies. For my endurance races or training rides I would prefer to use something that's a bit heavier, but will hold up and let me ride out of the woods. I've NEVER torn a sidewall in 2.5 years of using them, including playing around for 8 days on the Colorado Trail.

Minor complaints?
-Mud from creek crossings or puddles stays packed in the tread, making the following rocks and roots a bit tricky.
-They also seem to be limited to a 1000 mile/6 month lifespan. After that, the tread starts to separate from the carcass, causing half dollar sized portions of the tread to rise above the knobs. I've ridden them like that for an additional 100 ~ 200 miles in that condition without air leakage (running Stan's) or other issues. It's a shame, because the remaining tread is @ 75%, and they are still grippy enough to be fun to ride.

PROS: Roll great, Super tough sidewalls, Pretty good traction

CONS: Don't shed mud, Tread separation

BEST USES: Endurance racing, Backcountry rides

Great Hardpack Dry Weather Tire
I use this tire in the summer with about 30-32 lbs of air pressure on a Blur Classic. I am about 200lbs, never had pinch flat. It breaks traction predictably in a turn, and grips as well as any fast rolling tire I have tried. It was difficult to inflate and seat the bead initially and requires the air pressure be checked before each ride. Overall it is a great fast rolling tire, but would not recommend it on wet, muddy terrain.

PROS: Light For Ust Tire, Relatively light, Do Not Need Stans, Predictable Traction, Good Side Knobs, Fast Rolling

CONS: Check Pressure Every Ride, Wet Or Muddy Traction, High price, Ust Difficult To Inflate

BEST USES: Hardpack, Dry, Like Low Air Pressure
