Maxxis Ignitor Tire
Designed for professional racers, the Ignitor has already claimed several World Cup victories. Well-spaced tread pattern provides low rolling resistance on the straights, ramped pentagon knobs at the outside edge provide excellent traction in the corners and in soil.
A good choice for riders with an eye on weight who need a bit more grip than some popular minimally-treaded hardpack tires provide. Both sizes have folding beads for weight savings and lightweight single-ply casings. The tread rolls well and grips on hardpack, medium soil, and loose-over-hardpack terrain.

I paid the LBS to do a tubeless conversion. They said the Hutchinson front popped right in but the Maxxis gave them fits and then leaked down a couple times before eventually sealing after I picked up the bike and took it on a trail ride.

I listed rolling resistance as a con but honestly that is a con for almost any tire with a deeper agressive tread. There is often times some degree of tradeoff between rolling resistance and all around grip.
Probably the best way to describe these tires is...all the traction of a Kenda Nevegal without the extreme rolling resistance losses.

I did just have it on the front, when my old rear tire wore out I moved the Ignitor back and bought another for the front. I'm very pleased with performance on both wheels.
