The Maxxis Minion DHR II is a downhill tire designed to meet the needs of the UCI World Cup racers. The DHR II features ramped knobs similar to the Minion DHF, then was beefed up to handle to responsibilities of a rear tire. The center tread has been heavily ramped and siped to roll fast and track straight under braking. The Minion DHR II features a single tread compound, which helps to reduce the weight. Pair the DHR II with the Minion DHF for the ultimate aggressive riding combination.

Comments about Maxxis Minion DHR II Wire Bead Tire:
Decided to try this tire and replace the Ardent on my DH bike. This tire hooks up well and aids in breaking. Doesn't roll as fast as the Ardent and is a bit smaller than the 2.4 suggests. The 60a will hold up a bit better than the 3c but wont be as tacky. I don't race so value the durability over the added grip.
