Super unreal traction.... this plus it's bombproof qualities, give you so much confidence to just roll over and literally smash anything in the path of your FR/DH bike. Wanna ride Urban FR with lotsa hard edges? No problem. Just make sure you got enough PSI in there and smash both down and UP stairs! Wanna ride trails on your FR bike? No problemo, run 20 psi and you got monster truck traction front and rear! The rubber used in the tyre itself is super tacky, gives you so much traction. Only 2 complaints I have: The 2.5" Maxxis makes is undersized.... :( it's more like a 2.3"! Plus it's a 1.2kg beast of a tyre.

Tire sizes are very small, low air volume, not for serious DH. The 2.35 size is way smaller then a Specialized 2.3 size. Single ply sidewall does not give you much confidence in the rock gardens.
Great as a All Mountain tire, not a real DH tire.

Comments about Maxxis Minion DHR Tire:
I go these tires to replace the xc tires on my Trek to give it a more aggressive bite DH. I guess i got lost in the low price to not see that they do not fold and are noticeably heavy. I live in Korea so i do a lot of mountain climbing before i descend and the tires weight and resistance do slow me down a lot. That being said the tires perform great going down hill and have made me even better at climbing because of all the more heavy peddling i do now. If you need a great cheap DH only tires these are a place to start.

I am very satisfied with the purchase of these tires. Previous tires were Maxxis High Roller. Can't beat the price. Almost worth the extra charged to ship them.

Good tire for the price on sale right now! I've been using these tires for the last month on some aggressive terrain and they have held up to standard. No flats so far, so that is a good indicator on my book.

used these for a whole DH season and saved me from multiple pinch flats. only bad part is that a full set of tires is a lot of $$$. totally worth the money at the end of the day though!

These are my go-to tires, they hold up to abuse, I can run low tire pressure, and they perform well in the conditions I'm use to which are a lot of dry dusty dirt and rocks (Colorado).
