In a reworking of the popular Fuse tire, the Re-Fuse incorporates a kevlar belt and silkworm cap to eliminate punctures.  The diamond knurled slick tread design can be used for the front or rear tire.  This is a great training tire.

Comments about Maxxis Re-Fuse Road Tire:

I'm happy with my choice. They are reasonably light for a Kevlar tire and have a knurled type tread that runs quiet and smooth. The folding bead is a little more difficult to install than a wire bead but worth the weight savings. I ride in an area that destroys normal tires and these are holding up perfectly so far.

I rate them "as good as" Gatorskins and Armadillos, both of which I've used in the past. If you're shopping for flat resistant Kevlar tires add the Re-Fuse to your price check list. Disregarding price I still might choose them for their tread pattern and appearance.

Replaced original tires with these. Sacrificed lightweight tires for more resistant ones.

I ride 3 to 4 times a week on secondary roads. This tire is perfect for day to day commuting or training. A little hard to install the first time, but easy after you ride them for awhile.

Comments about Maxxis Re-Fuse Road Tire:

I got a pair during a sale and given their ride characteristics, performance, weight, and flat resistance, they are a very good value. Traction is quite good, tested on fast mountain descents. I like their ride, supple for a flat-resistant tire.

Comments about Maxxis Re-Fuse Road Tire:

I´ve been riding these tires for about a month, they are very good, haven´t suffered any punctures up to now, the roll very good, I feel they grip very good on the curves, no matter if the pavement is wet or dry, they do run on the heavy side, but they are great for training, which is what I used them for everyday on rides of 25 miles average per day. Get them, you will not regret it.

        I bought these tires...

        By Shin

        from Brooklyn, New York

Comments about Maxxis Re-Fuse Road Tire:

I bought these tires from a LBS about a year ago for $40 each. It's cheaper to buy online. Have not had a single flat since i put these tires on. Riding through some horrible roads here in NYC. Rode over glass shards several times, small rocks, and various other obstacles on the road and the debris simply bounced off the tire like nothing. The tire had rode over some pebbles on the ground and one shot upwards, hitting me in the face. I have recommended these to people I know, these are great tires, i don't think i want to try any others.
