One of the best
I use these tires on the front and rear for two different bikes. They work well in all conditions and wear very good, even on pavement. One of the best features is the side lug design and strength. They grip everything and can take a beating.

PROS: Stable Side Knobs, Dual Stage Lug Pattern, Strong and reliable, Great Tread Spacing

CONS: none

BEST USES: DH, Freeride, Single Track

Do it all
This is a solid tire which works well in a variety of conditions. If it's good enough for Jared Graves, it's good enough for me. the 3C compounds are grippy, and last a good while. I usually buy 1 tire per season, rotating the front tire to the rear, and replacing the front tire. The EXO sidewall stand up well too.

Can be set up tubeless easily. I've got mine running on DT swiss AM rims

PROS: Durable

Use it on front wheel. Easy install with Stan tubeless. Grips great, light weight, durable. A little small in width for 2.3 size.

CONS: Tire Width Small

My favorite tire
This is my favorite tire ever. I use 2.35 60 duro on my xc bike, and 2.5 or 2.7 on my DH bike. Lots of options in one ply, 2 ply DH, and the new EXO tires. Super Tacky and 42 duros are sticky but wear quickly. I have had 60 duro tires last a full year with lots of riding. Hard to find a more versatile yet consistent tire. The only way to improve it would be to make a UST version in 2.35.

PROS: Consistent Grip, Lots Of Versions, Tracks Nicely-any Terrain, Durable

CONS: A little Heavy, Not Available In 235 Ust, Expensive

Classic tire no need to change a thing
A classic tire for great all around conditions. Full price is a little high but it transitions from vertical to side wall nubs smoothly for cornering. A tad heavy but I run these on my DH bike so it doesn't matter too much.

PROS: Transition Knobs, Traction

CONS: Little Heavy

BEST USES: Freeride, DH

Great Traction but Watch Sizing
Awesome tire, but size up for purchase. Got the 2.35 originally and narrower than 2.25 Ardent. Upgraded to the 2.5 (2.35ish) and was a lot better but still on the narrow side

Can you run these tires tubeless?
Greg Rumpf on Dec 14, 2016
BEST ANSWER: This version is not designated tubeless ready by Maxxis but you might be able to get them to seal depending on what rims you're using and if you use enough sealant. On my 27mm external width rims I find the bead quite loose and personally use tubes.
