Comments about Mavic Infinity Glove 2014:
So, the Mavic Infinity gloves were on my short list of the more minimalist non-velcro strap, half-finger glove options that suited my needs. And they are indeed minimal, and very much velcro-free, which I am quite happy about. However, there's a few drawbacks to these gloves. For starters, the wrist opening is so tight as to make you fear tearing them when you first put them on. This does get better, as the elastic stretches, after the first few wearings, but is an initial drawback. Unfortunately, as the closure is stretching out, so is the fabric on the back of the glove. Having previously worn the Mavic HC glove in a size XL, I sized down to a L, since the HC stretched out as well. Whereas the HC took over a month to start to stretch, the Infinity is getting noticeably looser within the first two weeks of use. Also, the over engineered pull tabs (crescent-shaped extensions) on the palm are redundant and simply crumple out of the way after the first few wearings. While I fully realize Mavic's foray into clothing is a new venture, these are not exactly on par with the quality of their components and wheels. Mind you, I enjoy some of their other clothing items, but I'd give these gloves a pass.
Comments about Mavic Infinity Glove 2014:
These gloves look amazing first off. Plus they match my slr helmet. The gloves are amazingly light, and once on you hardly even notice they are there. I have only put probably 200mi on them so far so I can't really speak to the durability. Considering how light and thin they are though I am not expecting much use out of them. The cuff I guess you would call it (the part that fits over your wrist) isn't very stretchy so these gloves take some time/effort to get on and off. The right one in my pair especially for some reason. I pretty much feel like I am going to tear them putting them on, but once on they fit great and feel amazing so I know they are the correct size.
