Comments about Giro Cipher Helmet 2014:

My little 5 years old girls is a great cyclist and have seen her Falling face first on the dirt and I wanted her to be more protected than the regular helmet so I got her a full face she loves it it looks cool and comfy and he protect her more so give her more confidence on the skatepark and bike park
I also got one for my 3y and both can have them and not be complaining
Great helmet I want my kids the experience what they want and be crazy on their bike but safe :)

Comments about Giro Cipher Helmet 2014:

Got a 2014 model on clearance. 2015 model is identical except the graffics. Wanted to make sure I got the correct size. Giro has a nice sizing chart. It determined a small fit me, so I ordered a small. It fits perfect!!! The only similar helmet I compared this to is a fox. The fox felt heavier, and to me seemed like my vision window was a little obstructed. The Giro seems to have a great amount of visibility, awesome figment, light weight, seems like good quality, and the GoPro mount is nice. The only negative I see is the cheek guards are a little tight on me. I know you can replace them with a different size, but I may need them to break in better. Also the GoPro mount is a little wobbly, however the bracket supplied had one piece of foam on the bottom, yet their is 2 cutouts where you can add more foam to support it better, which I plan to do. Overall I would say for the price, and quality, this helmet is a winner.

Comments about Giro Cipher Helmet 2014:

the helmet size S corresponds to 54-56 cm my head measures 55 and a first test looks small but after a few uses padding settle and become the fit perfect. As other reviews when stick helmet creaking but do not give any problem when you go biking, good air circulation and quality construction. Great helmet!

Comments about Giro Cipher Helmet 2014:

This is the best for the price-point. Much better design over previous Remedy model. Detachable cushions are washable.
Riding it from the beginning of 2015 season. I had 3 crashes already. Two of them engaging the helmet.
One was a tree hit, I got a slight knee joint injury, so couldn't normally walk (recovered in two weeks). It appears I hit my head into that tree as well, but noticed that only after I returned back home. While cleaning my gear, I found good few scratches on a plastic shell.
The second crash was much more entertaining. I've jumped from a drop which was new to me, but wasn't well aware what goes after it. So bad landing, went over the bars, landed directly on my head, then sliding of the rock wall. I heard how the helmet foam got into action (cracking sounds due to pressurizing). But I haven't found any visible cracks in it. Again my other body parts got relatively severe damage, while nothing to my head. I wouldn't notice a head landing at all without the foam cracking sounds.

It is a lot heavier comparing to carbon fiber models (which cost like 500$), and could have better ventilation (however it is not that bad). You can't go wrong with this purchase.

Got the Cypher helmet on close out when new color ways came out so the price was top notch, At least 25% below competitors. Size large helmet fits good even on my large cranium. Some have complained about the face guard being too close and feeling a bit claustrophobic but I didn't feel that was the case. Overall very happy.

The helmet fits great (Head measured 27" and went with a Medium). I like the styling (Red camo) and weight of the helmet. I hit the ground with it during my second use and it wasn't even an issue, the helmet held up great and my head was not rattled. Great protection.

Comments about Giro Cipher Helmet 2014:

Bought this helmet for downhilling after doing some research on downhill helmets. Got this 2014 model at over 60% off and I'm so glad I made the purchase. Helmet is extremely comfortable. Padding is generous and makes for a great snug fit. Ventilation has been great in 90+ degree heat going down some of the mts in New Mexico and Colorado so far. Go Pro mount is another plus. Like the camo pattern on mine and have gotten a lot of comments on it. Not the lightest but then who cares when your going downhill. Has integrated earphones slots which is another nice touch. Comparing this to other more expensive helmets and this offers just about everything else they do for half the costs. Highly recommend!

Comments about Giro Cipher Helmet 2014:

Checked out helmets from the major brands (Giro, Fox, 661, Bell), and Giro by far fit the best, was the most comfortable, and had the most features for the $. The Cipher pads are very comfortable, and easily removable for cleaning. Light enough to not be an issue when riding - don't realize I'm wearing a FF helmet. I like the matte white finish and ventilation to keep things cooler when riding. Add in the Jenson 2014 clearance price, and this is a great deal.

Comments about Giro Cipher Helmet 2014:

This is a great helmet by Giro. I really like the integrated GoPro mount. However, I wish the camera could sit below the visor. The mount only allows for a top of the helmet setup. I was in between sizes. If you are too, I would recommend going smaller. I went to the larger one and had to send it back because it rattled around a bit. The smaller size fits great and the foam cheek pads pack down after a couple uses.
