These are good stout tubes, not what race-day weight weenies might want, but excellent for use in the real world. As far as I am concerned, their most distinguishing feature is the smooth stem everywhere but right where the cap goes. Much better to get a good seal with my old track pump, and even better, doesn't wear out the seal in the chuck.

Easy to pinch flat during install

By Bill

Comments about Michelin Airstop 700C PV Tube:

May be a good tube if it could mount without pinch flat.
Gave it 2 stars, as I was not using it on a traditional setup. I was installing this with a 700x25 tire on a 29er rim.
Probably works better on a 700c rim.

Smooth valves are great for those pump chucks with a rubber seal that eventually get chewed up on threaded valves.

Comments about Michelin Airstop 700C PV Tube:

This is a really high end tube. It did go flat on me when I hit a huge pot hole on my road bike. I don't think it was the tubes fault, its more the Cleveland roads and the fact I didn't see the pothole in time. When it held air, it was fantastic and high quality.

Comments about Michelin Airstop 700C PV Tube:

You get what you pay for; no need to buy cheap tubes anymore after pairing these to decent tires. Out of the box they feel a lot better than no name tubes I have used. But tubes are tubes; they hold their pressure just dandy. A previous reviewer said they have no caps (they do come with black caps). Only had them for a week <100km. Will update with more kms on them.

I really dislike tubes with threaded valve stems. The Michelins are smooth. I've had better luck using these than any other tube I've tried.

Comments about Michelin Airstop 700C PV Tube:

I have tried a lot of different butyl tubes but keep coming back to the Airstop for their durability. They might be a few grams heavier than some tubes but it is insignificant for most riders. In combination with a good tire one can expect hundreds of miles withn no flats.
