MICHELIN COUNTRY MUD TIRE

The Michelin Country Mud is one of the most versatile MTB tires available. Tough enough for hardpacked and rocky trails, it also offers astonishing grip in wet conditions when traction is at a premium. It’s a four-season tire that also delivers impressive durability and puncture resistance.

  • Extremely low wear rate.
  • Equally at home on rocky terrain as it is in mud.
  • Tread blocks are highly resistant to tearing.

Comments about Michelin Country Mud Tire:

Although there is little to no mud in SoCal, and despite the fact the sidewall tore after only two rides (which fyi Jenson kindly replaced without question the next day!) I still think very highly of these tires. I race Super D and these provide the perfect combo of light weight, thinness/speed and unreal traction. These are great tires for super dusty / dry conditions.

Comments about Michelin Country Mud Tire:

I put one of these on the back of my SS. Great traction on the climbs. There is a paddle across the center of the tire, this works great in the loose and slippery stuff. Not a fast roller, but thats not what it's intended for. It's meant for flinging mud at your wheel suckers!

Comments about Michelin Country Mud Tire:

maybe 4.5 stars. it is a good value for an all around tire. they wear better than i thought they would, have good traction in wet AND dry conditions on the dirt. fairly sticky on wet roots. they are very light and somewhat small tires that my boy just couldn't get ok with until he rode them. 'they are fast, Dad.' not a big downhill tire but very nice for trails and everything but the big stuff.

these tires give you audible feedback regarding the traction. it is clear to hear when you are on the edge of skidding. very predictable tires. a Great value for the money.

Comments about Michelin Country Mud Tire:

Bought this tire as a training tire for my mtb. Although it was made for mud I'll be using this tire on pavement and on some dirt trails, but nothing too technical most likely. The tire mounts extremely easily, and looks pretty good too.

Best part about this is the price. Excellent price for a name-brand wire bead tire.

Bitter-sweet should say it all, but Jenson wants 20 words or more for your enjoyment regarding the Country Mud tires.

Comments about Michelin Country Mud Tire:

This tire sticks to anything; you can dive into corners and not worry about the bike flying out from under you. If it does start to slip, it does so predictably and gives you some time to react so you can recover. It rolls easier on the dirt than on the pavement, effortlessly in comparison. Other tires have made wet roots deadly to ride over but these shoes do give you a bit more grip; its still slipery but ridable. Been in thick mud with these tires as well and these tires have made wet clay ridable, when others have been falling left and right. They also have great traction on loose rocks. These are my favorite off road bike tires and I will be getting another set as mine are starting to loose tread blocks after several seasons (at least 300 miles) of mainly dry loose sharp rock usage with escapades into mud and wet dirt conditions.
