Designed from the ground up with the help from top Enduro riders the Michelin Force AM tire is the most agile of Michelin's AM lineup. The Force AM will provide you with improved grip, propulsion as well as excellent braking thanks to its mix of three rubbers. The Force AM is designed to work best in hard/dry to mixed terrain with lower profile, ramped center knobs to help maintain speed while its hefty shoulder knobs will dig in to supply plenty of confidence to lean hard in the corners. Thanks to its Trail Shield Technology, and 3x60 TPI carcass and a reinforced, high density casing, the Force AM is extra tough and durable, perfect for trail and All Mountain riding.
Try'd these tires on a whim and they did not disappoint. They roll extremely well, protection has been great, grip is on par with anything else I've used and I was able to set them up tubeless using my floor pump.
I am glad I got these. I originally wanted another brand but they were out of stock, so I ordered these. I took these out of the packaging and mounted them. I put them on by hand only and didn't need a tire lever. I though wow, if they went on that easily, they'd be hard to setup tubeless. Typically, I they are not difficult to get on the rim they will be difficult the air-up. I actually got hem to seal the first try with a floor pump. Lucky? Maybe. Either way, no problems. I pumped them up to 40psi but they actually popped around 30psi. After letting them sit for 10 minutes I deflated and removed the core and inserted Stan's. Pumped them back up to 40psi and "danced" to disperse the sealant. After sitting for and hour or two, I dropped the pressure to 20psi and took my bike for a spin. I rode the same trails I rode the day before. These are very rocky technical trails with a lot of loose rocky climbs. These tires hooked up great. I was very surprised at the control while braking heavily on the way back down. Cornering grip was on par and never felt a lack of confidence at all. The braking control was the most impressive point to me. I rode the same trails the day before on Hans Dampf's. and didn't have this much control. I am not basking the Dampf tires. I always liked those and still do. The Force AM, I don't think will do as well in muddy conditions though. They have smaller lugs but this is why they roll so fast. If the Force holds up well, I will get them for my other bike but in the 2.6 width (both my bikes are 27.5"). I originally wanted these for my Banshee Rune but they do run small far as width . I got the 2.35 but they seems to be more like a 2.1 (guessing). With that said this is why I put them on my XC bike. Only reason for 4 stars is due to the narrow width vs. claimed width. I am guessing the 2.6 version is more of a 2.4 which is what I want for the Rune. We'll see how they hold up first. They do look like the side lugs will last loner than those on the Hans Dampf. In dry rocky technical trails, the Force AM is a contender for sure.
