The EC90 is Eastons new secret weapon for XC and trail racers. At 1285 grams these are the lightest UST compatible wheelset on the market. Thats 135 grams lighter than their famous competitors comparable non-disc wheelset (and 235 grams lighter than their disc model)! To achieve this unbelievable-but-true number, Easton uses their proprietary Armored Ballistic Composite system. Their acoustic tensioning and truing system keeps them straight and stiff, and the 19mm internal width lets you use tires as wide as 2.3s--plenty beefy for XC and trail applications. Hubs made from 7050 aluminum spin on premium grade, double sealed ceramic bearings. And Sapim straight-pull spokes threading into Eastons double-threaded nipple system hold them all together. Other details: Hand-built and acoustically tuned at Easton’s EMX facility in Mexico Front wheel is available in 9x100mm (standard QR) or 15x100 (15QR) and convertible to either configuration through an axle swap Rear wheel is convertible between 10x135mm (standard QR) to 12x135mm or 12x142mm, conversion kit is included
