Niner Alloy Seatpost

If you’ve got a seat and nowhere to put it, look no further! Most riders coudn’t care less about shedding incremental grams off each one of their components, yet prefer a solid and good looking part to complete their machine without breaking the bank. Alloy provides durability while keeping weight to a minimum, making it the perfect post to round out your Niner build (though it will also work just as fine on non-Niner bikes). Colorful graphics are bound to make any bike look good. The 370-400mm length offers plenty of room to get your saddle height just right while dialing in your saddle position is a breeze thanks to the super simple 2-bolt clamp; the same design used on Niner’s RDO and Carbon seatpost.

  • Simple and strong 2-bolt clamp, zero setback design
  • 27.2mm x 400mm, 30.9mm x 370mm and 31.6mm x 400mm

After 3 months aluminum mounting bracket for seat separated from carbon shaft on my 31.6 post. It gave some warning first by making a popping noise before it let go so I stopped and gave it a slight pull and it broke off. Bad adhesive possible. I has at the end of ride and no injury. In the trash it went and put the alloy post back on. Done with carbon fiber seatposts after this experience. I guess I got a rare bad one. I torqued all the bolts to proper specs with torque wrench . 10nm on the seat bolts and 4nm on the seatpost frame clamp so it was not my I installation.

It won't find the answer to world peace or give you super human powers. It simply connects my seat to the rest of my bike... The clamp is good and easy to adjust and it fits my bike nicely.

      Not Enough Pitch Adjustment

      By John M

      Comments about Niner Alloy Seatpost:

This seat post looked fine at first, but it very limited in it's pitch adjustment. So don't buy this post if you have a Maverick ML-8, unless you like riding with your seat jammed up your bum. Even tipped forward to the max, the seat is still not even close to level on my bike. Bummer.

Inexpensive, light and durable. I would have given it 5 stars but the one bolt for the seat rail clamp is at a funny angle and difficult to get and allen key into.

Works as designed, not much more to say about a seatpost. Love the numbered height index markers...can always return to my favorite heights for normal or descent riding. Every seatpost should have this....duh!
