Though 29ers originally debuted as cross country bikes, Niner has taken the big bike and made it into a versatile, high performance trail machine. Capitalizing on the rolling efficiency of the 29” wheel, Niner designed the Jet 9 to be more than just an efficient climber. Using their patented CVA suspension technology and their trail proven geometry, Niner was able to create a 29” bike that was not only efficient, but was also nimble enough to handle the endless rock sections, drops, and even the occasional jump that can be found most modern trails.The Jet 9 Carbon features the same geometry and handling characteristics as the Jet 9 RDO, blended with Shimano’s legendary XT drivetrain. The frame is made from Niner’s highly durable carbon fiber that is backed by their 5 year, C5 warranty and is beautifully shaped and finished. The suspension is provided by a Fox Float CTD fork and shock, featuring Fox’s new CTD (Climb/Trail/Descent) adjustable suspension technology to deliver 100mm of smooth, plush travel. The Jet 9 carbon is equipped with a full Shimano XT drivetrain that provides smooth and reliable power and shifting under the most demanding conditions yet is still lightweight and durable enough to survive rough cross country and all mountain adventures.
