I bought these as a rear brake for my son's 16" Specialized Hotrock, so he can get used to the idea of hand brakes. I think my son summed it up best after his first attempt to stop with them. He said "these are the brakes I use to just slow down, not to stop, right daddy?" Yeah, that's about right.
Upon installation, I found the left and right arms to be misaligned by almost 3/4in, making pad alignment an adventure. There are two splindles included to attach the brakes to the frame, but the longer one (which I would have needed) is too short on the brake arm side to actually hold the arms on, it must have been some mix-up. The brake cables that came with the setup were very sticky (the brakes didn't even reopen after squeezing them), had to put some higher quality cables on. The brake handle is very cheap construction, but it is nice and compact for a 5yr old's hands.

I changed my rear coaster brake wheel for a freewheel mountain bike wheel cause the coaster brake hub broke. And i needed to add brakes so i decided to add side pull caliper brakes to the front of my bike as this would be the easiest and cheapest.This brake package i bought was a wonderful deal and now i have really nice working brakes.
