OneUp DH Block Cassette Spacer

Downhill bikes benefit from small gear ranges with even gear-progression throughout the cassette. Paired with a clutch rear derailleur this maintains proper tension on the chain and less slack when going through rough terrain, eliminating double or triple shifts. The OneUp Components DH Block allows you to reap all the benefits of 6 or 7-speed DH specific drivetrain without having to drop hundreds of dollars on a cassette and driver body. Convert your 9, 10, or 11 speed SRAM or Shimano cassette to work seamlessly with your clutch-enable DH bike, providing smooth and responsive shifting for a fraction of the cost. Depending on the base cassette, the DH Block allows you to create a 6 or 7 speed DH specific cassette with a 2 tooth progression through the majority of the cassette, creating a super smooth 11-25T or 11-21T cassette that you can shift through in only 2 full shifts.

After installing the DH Block onto your cassette, you will need to setup your rear derailleur. (See compatibility guide for full list)

Standard Method:

1. Setup your high limit screw and cable tension as normal.
2. Adjust the low limit screw until the shifter can no longer shift into the 8th position.

Alternative Method:

1. Release all cable tension by loosening cable clamp on rear derailleur.
2. After installing the chain, set the high limit screw so that the upper pulley is directly beneath the smallest cog.
3. The Low limit screw will NOT set your Low limit position of the rear derailleur. The low limit of the rear derailleur is determined by the shifter position.
4. Shift into the 3rd gear with your shifter, wind the barrel adjuster on your shifter fully in (clockwise), then wind it out 2 full rotations (counterclockwise). Now tighten the cable clamp on the rear derailleur and adjust the cable tension as normal.

Please Note: The DH Block was designed primarily to work with Shimano 10 speed and SRAM X01DH drivetrains. Due to the low limit screw geometry on 10spd SRAM and all 9spd setups, you will need to follow the Alternative Method setup instructions. This will leave 3 additional clicks remaining on the shifter when in the hightest gear (11T).
