OneUp Chainguide

The OneUp Top chainguide does what chainguides do, but does it exceptionally well. At only 35g (less than a sip of water), why wouldn't you want to eliminate dropped chains? As the waves of singlering-specific chainrings boast reliable chain retention, they aren't 100% flawless. Dropped chains do happen, even with NW chainrings. The only real way to make dropped chains of the impossible, is by using a chainguide.

On another note, using the OneUp chainguide can potentially prolong the life of your chainring, as it limits the chains side-to-side movement reducing the NW tooth wear and totally preventing the chain from derailing. How's that for ROI?

GUIDE SETUP INSTRUCTIONS

  • 1. Set chainring size tighten bolt to 3Nm
  • 2. Install backplate onto ISCG05 tabs
  • 3. Rotate backplate until flat is horizontal and torque bolts to 5Nm
  • 4. Install crankset with chain, use spacer shim block to measure clearance between back plate and chain
  • 5. Determine the corresponding number of shims as determined in step 4 or backplate spacer
  • 6. Assemble top guide with spacers and tighten bolt to 3Nm
