For those who are interested I'll fill in some missing product details. This is the "snap on" type rim tape, similar to Ritchey Snap On. It's one snug continuous loop with no adhesive. The mountain (26") version is 18 mm wide which is what is recommended by the manufacturer of my rims.
I watched a You Tube video of a guy trying to install the Ritchey version and he made it look like a real pain and took about 10 minutes for one wheel. This Origin8 version was easy, took about 30 seconds; just stretch it genty as you work it around the rim. There's no adhesive which makes it easy to center on the rim, however could potentially allow it to shift during service. So far I've mounted and removed a tube+tire one time and it doesn't seem to have moved, though I still think a pressure-type adhesive on the back would be reassuring. I suppose a little double-sided tape could be used. And finally, FWIW, the package says it's nylon with polyurethane coating. Not sure what makes that "environmentally friendly," but a good product nonetheless.
