I have only used this pack a few times, but so far I am in love with it. I upgraded from an older Camelbak Mule, and the difference is night and day. Where the Camelbak felt like it sat on my back, the Osprey Raptor feels like it is formed to it. The Mule bounced all over the place when my wheels left the ground; the Raptor stays put. The ability to order different sizes is nice, and when I tried on both, I could tell the difference. The wide parts of the waist belt keep the pack feeling really strapped on snugly. The storage size is great, fits everything I could need, with room for extra layers in cold weather. Things like sleeves for pumps, soft sunglasses/iPod pocket, and waist belt pockets are great details. I read mixed reviews elsewhere about the bladder and bite valve, but so far it has been great. Will keep my eye out for any leaking. The bladder is easy to fill, and dries quickly with a towel stuffed inside. The magnetic attachment is really clever, and the magnet is strong enough that you only need to be close for it to grab. The only downside is that the pack can feel on the heavy side, but this is mostly when you pick it up, once it's fully loaded up. Once it is on your body, this is not much of an issue. It also is weighs the same as smaller Camelbaks. If I had wanted something lighter, I think I would have gone with the Raptor 10, but I wanted the size of the 14. All in all, I did a lot of research, and the Raptor 14 is as good as it promises to be.

I've had a Camelbak Mule for 10 years and it has worked great. Wanted a little more room and found this. It's an excellent product and works even better. Found the bladder design much easier to work with and loved the ease of insertion into a fully loaded pack. Wish I had bought one sooner.
