Panaracer teamed up with cycling legend Cedric Gracia to develop this line of fast rolling, off-camber eating, mud-shedding animals. Designed with both XC riding/racing and short track in mind, the CG XC 2.1 will excel in anything from damp to super dry conditions and terrain. Special attention has been paid to the shape of tire when inflated within the recommended range to provide optimal contact in for all riding styles.

Set up tubeless by using a tube to set the bead for a few days. After 2 days removed the tube, added sealant and bead popped and sealed instantly. Tires run a bit small (not exactly 2.35), but run pretty fast for an all mountain tire. Rolling resistance is okay. Great tire for the money.

Great tire, did Ridgeline at DuPont one day dry fast and flowy. Next day did pisgah in the pouring rain on an epic black mountain run, tires didnot slip or back off. Next back to the same trails in DuPont but under very wet conditions, including wet granite. Again these tires did what they came to do.Ridgeline was wet with lots of leaves and runoff. I went down just as hard in both dry and dusty as wet and muddy, in fact my buddies were right on my wheel push the pace on the wettest day. The only mishap was a big ol tree jumped in front of me. These tires are a great find.

Not bad, held up on a semi epic day with a lot of different conditions. We went from wet roots in the morning to dry hot rocky sections later in the day, even did a little road time (not by design) and they seemed to do it all.
Later this week I am sure to get into more wet conditions and then I will be sure these tires are solid.
