I'm a bigger guy and wanted a larger tire to hopefully prevent the pinch flats that I'd been plagued with using 700x23's and 25's on my road bike. The price was right, so I ordered a set of these in 700x32.
I ride over everything from gravel back-roads to Houston city streets with potholes you need a flashlight to find your way out of. I went from dealing with a flat every week or so to having no flats at all. They get great traction on wet or dry pavement, and I've had no problems over gravel or grass.
If you're aesthetically minded, these are pretty high-profile, and (in my opinion) they look great on a deep V rim.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
