I replaced the original tires on my Schwinn Superior with the Pasela's for daily riding. The tan sidewalls of the tire look appropriate for the older bikes. I did not buy the Tourguard, but rather the standard tire with wire bead. I was dissapointed the tread pattern is different than pictured, these look like a hybrid or mild offroad tire, not the road pattern pictured. The tires seem to have a little more rolling resistance than my old tires, and a little noisier, but still a good value. I was surprised to see this tire is Made In Japan! Overall I am satisfied with this product, I would have liked to have seen a picture of the tread pattern on this tire before I bought it, I might have bought something else, JensonUSA get on this!

I had a hard time getting these to stay on 27" steel hook-less rims of schwinn Le Tours. Tried 3 diferent bikes to no avail. I have installed: 27" Michelin World Tour, Vittoria Zaffiro, and the Club Roost Cross Terra and never had trouble with those popping off the rims. The tires look nice but I'll stick with the Zaffiro.

Comments about Panaracer Pasela Tire:
I live in goathead country so I'm concerned about punctures. These tires seem to be more puncture-resistant than average, but no tire is immune. Based on mountain bike experience, I've recently improved my Paselas by putting Notubes liquid in the tubes, which seems to work, even at 80 psi.

Comments about Panaracer Pasela Tire:
I've now put these on 2 different '80s road bikes and they look great. They have worn well over the last couple of months and fare well in the wet.
Comments about Panaracer Pasela Tire:
I love these tires for those epic adventure rides where you hit a lot of dirt/gravel roads. They handle gravel and dirt well and roll fast on pavement for a 28mm tire. Good durability and reasonable ride quality for a tough tire. I'll be buying more.

Comments about Panaracer Pasela Tire:
These are not the stickest, smoothest rolling, or most durable tire. In fact, they are just around average or below average. But for a high-PSI tire that is functional, the price can't be beat.

Comments about Panaracer Pasela Tire:
I picked up a pair of Black/Tan Tourguards for my bike. Not only are they durable, and ride well, but I get a lot of complements on the classic look. I would buy them again.

Comments about Panaracer Pasela Tire:
There aren't many skinny tires available for 27-inch wheels, but these are good ones. I changed from a 1-1/4" tire to these, and immediately noticed an improvement in speed. I don't know yet whether I'll want to get the tougher TourGuard version.

Hard to find tire size at a fair price
Comments about Panaracer Pasela Tire:
I ordered two tires and promtly mounted both. When I inflated to PSI marked on sidewall the rear came off the rim. This happened three times. Tire was bad so I got a new one. Read my comments on the Jenson USA service. Top Notch!!

Comments about Panaracer Pasela Tire:
Great tire for the price.
They are the only 27" X 1" tire on the market. They resist cuts and punctures better than the other tires I have used.
