Didn't buy these on Jenson, but I bought these for my Trek Mamba 29er hardtail and they greatly improved my terrain handling here in TX. Let me start off by saying these are not fast tires. They are wider then most 29er tires at 2.35 inches and were a great fit for my new Mavic tn719 wheelset. Being wider the extra rubber & air volume it takes to fill these bad boys up brought the weight of my rig up a little. However, the added confidence in cornering and better handling of the terrain I'm used to riding reduces time spent with a foot down or off my bike altogether. All in all, I'm really happy with these and run them front & back. Probably one of the best 29er tires out there & definitely the most underrated.

Good grip on dry dirt, sand, rocks and roots, but I agree with the previous reviewer: slippery when wet. I wasn't all that impressed with tread wear, either. I wore out the rear in about 4 months riding mostly dirt and roots. Not a bad tire overall, but I don't plan to buy another set.

Comments about Panaracer Rampage MTB Tire:
I got my first set of these in November. Before that I was using a Mountain King 2.4 in the front and a Race King 2.2 in the rear and found traction to be lacking with that set up during wet season. I had been riding lower treaded tires for the last couple of years but after having ridden the Rampage I decided that I prefer to clean obstacles that require good traction over having lower rolling resistance. I have a feeling that overall I am faster on the Rampages, since I feel comfortable cornering at higher speeds then I do the lower treaded tires and I'm guessing the I wouldn't climb that much faster with more race oriented tires. I recently tore the sidewall on my rear Rampage and replaced it with another. They're just good tires!

Comments about Panaracer Rampage MTB Tire:
I've been through a lot of Rampages. All but one wore out before it gave out. That one I chalk up to a hard hit on a sharp rock.

Comments about Panaracer Rampage MTB Tire:
This was my first tire upgrade, and this tire meet all of my needs. I needed something for SoCal riding (loose over hard) that would grip when I needed it to.
I ride in Sycamore often, and this tire built on my confidence and traction.
It's a little heavy, but that's because it's durability. It's not a thin racing tire, but a tire built to grab that ground, and take a beating.
Running it on the front, and may consider another for the rear.

The perfect front 29er tire. Hooks up great, is really durable and not too expensive. Just started using it as a rear as well and have been really impressed. Great for hardpack and loose over hard.

It might just have been a lemon, but after half a season the tire started splitting.

Great all rounder and sheds mud nicely. Haven't gotten any punctures yet. Though I prefer the Nevegal DTC, this is a similar tread and a really nice part, it can be run at either end equally.

Great tire overall. Have tried several different combos and I keep coming back to this tire. I do wish it was a true UST tire. Maybe sometime in the future?

Comments about Panaracer Rampage MTB Tire:
This tire is a no holds barred grip monster. It rolling resistance is not that of a CC race tire.... as you would expect. This thing handles roots, sandy section, pine straw, leaves, slick clay and gravel with pleasure. The rolling resistance doesn't bother me. It was a deal breaker for my brother.
