This tool works. But not in every situation. There are times when the female "bolt" installs more than flush with the male "nut." This makes seating the tool very tricky, especially if the chainring bolts are at all frozen in place. As with a previous reviewer, I too have lost some knuckle skin extracting stubborn bolts with this tool.
I wish there were a more fool-proof solution, but until then, grease your chainring bolts and buy this tool!

Works, but with a catch
It does work, but it doesn't hold the chainring nuts super well. I ended up with a set of bloody knuckes.
Not the very good. But it will work.... Eventually.

Comments about Park Tool CNW-2 Chainring Nut Wrench:
This is the second chainring bolt tool that I've bought. The first was a one-sided Park. This one is double sided. It's small and easy to misplace. I attached a 2" ring to it so It'll stand out it the toolbox. End your frustration and buy the right tool for the job.

Comments about Park Tool CNW-2 Chainring Nut Wrench:
I bought this but it can be a take it or leave it item. I added it to my on the road kit. I never needed it to remove chainring bolts. Though I have used it for the sake of trying it out. May come in handy for siezed bolts. Good quality and tough. Park quality of course.

Comments about Park Tool CNW-2 Chainring Nut Wrench:
This tool makes working on chainrings much easier than using a flathead screwdriver. It works fairly well and locks in pretty well. It can be a little hard to hold while also using the allen wrench, but it is easier than anything else.
Comments about Park Tool CNW-2 Chainring Nut Wrench:
Couldn't be easier to use and beats trying to use a flathead screwdriver to hold the inner nut in place. Can't go wrong for the price.

Comments about Park Tool CNW-2 Chainring Nut Wrench:
This tool is great for tightening those pesky chainring bolts. The wrench can still slip out of the bolt slots easily but that is more beacause of the bolt desing than the tool's fault.
Comments about Park Tool CNW-2 Chainring Nut Wrench:
worked great for removing cassette lockring
Comments about Park Tool CNW-2 Chainring Nut Wrench:
If you have been trying to remove chainrings with a screw driver I highly suggest making the upgrade. This tool doesn't cost much and works much quicker, easier and better than a screwdriver.
