Comments about Park Tool PFP-6 Home Mechanic Floor Pump:

I've had this pump for five years. No issues. It's been banged around in the trunk and seen many, many race days. It's never failed.

I recently wrote a review of the "professional" version of this pump -- it's not as desirable, in my opinion.

Yes, this pump has a slightly low volume, but who cares about 10 more strokes? If you can't spend the extra 15 seconds pumping up your tires, then you're not fit enough to ride a bike.

      An easy and reliable investment.

Comments about Park Tool PFP-6 Home Mechanic Floor Pump:

It's a Park Tool, but it's entry level quality. :(
Cheaply made and it shows. Handles are not well designed and are not comfortable to hold and use. Not a big volume pump - it takes forever to inflate a 2.1" to size... get a Topeak Joe Blow Mountain instead, or shell out for a higher end Park Tool pump.

Comments about Park Tool PFP-6 Home Mechanic Floor Pump:

I used this regularly for about 2 months before it started dying. Now when pumping, I must apply pressure toward myself while pressing downward or air leaks from the shaft- can't go much over 75psi either. I thought Park Tools was a pretty reputable brand, but I should have realized it wouldn't hold up based on the low price.

Comments about Park Tool PFP-6 Home Mechanic Floor Pump:

It is a nice pump, I have it for maybe 5 years. It is kind of cheap, handle 120 psi well (that's the max presssure of most clincher road tires).

I problem I sometimes have is when changing from presta to schraeder or vice-versa, it takes a while for the air to go out through the right hole.

        I purchased this...

        By Mark

        from Thunder Bay, Ontario

Comments about Park Tool PFP-6 Home Mechanic Floor Pump:

I purchased this pump to replace a Topeak Joe Blow that lasted over 10 years. After 3 days, the pressure gauge is no longer functioning and the head has become very finicky when connecting to presta valves.
