Don't worry about those stubborn tires again! these will get any tire off and they will come through for you again and again! Just don't get on a plane with them because these look suspicious under x-ray.

Strong, scratch free tire levers

Comments about Park Tool TL-6 Steel Core Tire Levers:

I needed stronger tire levers for working with really tight fitting tires. Screw drivers would often scratch the rim. These were a good choice. I only use them when working in the shop. You could carry them in your pack if needed and don't care about the weight and size.

    Composite Shell Breaks

Comments about Park Tool TL-6 Steel Core Tire Levers:

Composite shell breaks at the tip. Bought it for the (supposed) strength and extra leverage when installing heavy DH tires, over my trusty, but short, yellow Pedros I've depended on for 15 years. Snapped the composite tips off both TL-6s on one tire. Finished the old-fashioned way with the Pedros, dish soap, and some grunting. Probably fine if you're only mounting light tires on friendly rims...but in that case you don't need an expensive, long, steel lever.

    breaks like regular tire levers...

Comments about Park Tool TL-6 Steel Core Tire Levers:

It's funny how they advertise these to people who break regular tire levers from time to time. I just got these today in hopes of finding a tire lever that I could use regularly for a long time.

Anyhow, if your levers are snapping, the tips of these will break off and expose the steel. I guess it sort of bothers me since two days ago, I snapped my last two regular tire levers. This isn't catastrophic failure like a snapping plastic lever, but they'll start beating up your aluminum rims.

If you haven't purchased tire levers yet, I'd actually recommend getting these. However, I wouldn't recommend replacing the ones you have now if they're working fine for you.

      Not durable

Comments about Park Tool TL-6 Steel Core Tire Levers:

After using to change two tires the plastic tips are breaking off. The metal core does not go to the very tip and if you put any pressure on the plastic tips they break off. Of course if you are going to actually use this tool you will be putting pressure at the tip. I am sure the metal core will last a long time but my all plastic 10 year old tire levers are more durable than these. Save your money.

Comments about Park Tool TL-6 Steel Core Tire Levers:

They're exactly what you would expect them to be. Solid, durable and heavy. I wouldn't bring these on the trail, I bring light plastic ones with me when I ride. Instead I keep these at home or in the car. They won't break and it's nice to have them readily available.

Comments about Park Tool TL-6 Steel Core Tire Levers:

Great set of tire levers. No longer worry about snapping the cheap platic levers. It is aggrevating enough to get a flat but when your tire levers break before getting the job done only adds to the frustration. No longer. Bought these steel tire levers. Yes they are a little more weight to carry but the will not break. You can get the job done and get back out on the road. In summary great product.

Comments about Park Tool TL-6 Steel Core Tire Levers:

Use it for some fairly difficult tires/wheels - Michelin Krylions on my roadie and Ritchey rims on my mtb. Plenty of leverage, strong. Makes putting on difficult tires very much easier. Carry them with me in my saddle bat- a little heavier, but not too much to worry about.
