This was my first time to cut, prepare, and install a new fork. I was worried about this part of the install, but this tool took all the guess work out of it. The star nut screws on to the bottom, whack the tool until the plunger can't go anymore...unscrew it, and you're done. I re-checked several times, and compared it to a lot of other forks, and every time I can tell that mine is perfectly set. Quality tool to take the guess work out of this hairy install.
