I bought this tool because I am very particular on making sure things are done right. This tool is very useful, because it will ensure that all your parts or components are fastened and tightened correctly to the proper specifications for maximum torque without worrying about damaging anything.
I have owned previous torque wrenches and to me were just either not very accurate, or hard to understand where you were setting the torque to. But this tool is very easy to read, easy to understand, and seems to be a very good quality made product

Thank you Jenson!!

It was good when it worked. Somehow the internals gave away and it could no longer torque a bolt. Jenson replaced it.

Comments about Park Tool TW-5 Ratcheting Torque Wrench:

The majority of bike stems call for very low and precise torque settings so this is a great tool for doing the job properly.

Comments about Park Tool TW-5 Ratcheting Torque Wrench:

Very important to properly torque components on carbon, such as the stem. Overtightening can break it and undertightening it can allow it to slip. I bought a cheap foreign product and it just doesn't work so I sprung for the real deal.

Comments about Park Tool TW-5 Ratcheting Torque Wrench:

Got this torque wrench after much research and comparison and have very pleased with it. It's easy to use and adjust the level of torque it offers. Comes with an adaptor that I pretty much have to use each time. My only complaint is that the adaptor piece sometimes get stuck on the sockets and is difficult and somewhat annoying to have to pry out. Besides that, I am very pleased.

Comments about Park Tool TW-5 Ratcheting Torque Wrench:

Great tool, not a thing I would change about it. The torque range means it is one I use for almost all component installation beyond cranks etc.

The only thing I would mention is that there is nothing that makes this wrench special. It appears identical to ones with other brand names on them that are less expensive. So unless you really want the Park blue you can get the same tool for less money.

Comments about Park Tool TW-5 Ratcheting Torque Wrench:

Have wanted a bike specific torque wrench for quite a while, but the ones at the local hardware stores were the big auto mechanic-type ones. Not so great for smaller stuff like bike parts. This is made to the fantastic level of quality Park Tool is known for. It comes in a rugged case to keep it safe. Very easy to adjust. Roughly 6" without case. Light in your hand though very solid. Great product.

Comments about Park Tool TW-5 Ratcheting Torque Wrench:

I have 3 other torque wrenches: 2 for higher torques and 1 which is cheap and nasty and just takes up space in the shed. The price of the Park Tool does seem quite high, however, once purchased it can be used for many years to come (hopefully). The torque range suits smaller torques and compliments my other wrenches. It means you're not relying on a wrench that is intended for larger torques. Again, compared to my other wrenches it's real easy to set accurately with no problems detecting the 'click'.
