Simply The Best
I use this on my Santa Cruz Chameleon with a 1x9 drive train. Nothing works better. I have tried promise keepers, MRP 1X and this is the best. I had to buy the Chain Keeper Extension for an extra $31 from [@] since no one had them for less on line. So if the keeper does not fit without the extension then you have to pay a little more but it is WELL worth it. Enjoy!

PROS: All Aluminum, Bomber

CONS: Add ons, Price

BEST USES: 1x10, Single speed, 1x9

Beautifully simple
This has made my 1x9 Cotic the bike of choice again. Easy to set up, even with a 42t front ring, enough adjustment to work on the 2 conventional frames I've run it on, light and minimal. Noiseless operation, and chain hasn't dropped once.

PROS: Light, Simple, Minimal

CONS: Requires Std Frame Shape

Does Exactly What It Is Supposed To Do
I installed this on my 1x10 cross country hardtail. It was dropping the chain an average of once per mile. I have not dropped the chain since installing this chainkeeper. The seat tube mount made for an easy install. You do have to fiddle with it to get it lined up correctly. I still get some rub in the outer most gears. It works.

Perfect fit
I got this for a 1x9 build I did for my daughter. She's 8 and her bike is sweeter than mine. The chain keeper does exactly what is intended to so, it's easy to set up and looks great.

PROS: Lightweight, Attractive Design, Easy To Install

CONS: Pricey

Set-Up = Patience
I was averaging 1-2 chain drops a ride. So, I ordered the Chain Keeper. It is very solid. It was kind of a pain getting it installed just right. I've road about 200 miles so far and I haven't had a dropped chain since I installed the Chain Keeper. Good Product!

PROS: Quality, Solid

CONS: Set-up

BEST USES: Single speed, Worry Free Chain Use, 1x9 Set-up

High quality, but finicky setup.
Lightweight and very well made, this chain keeper does what it's name implies. It keeps your chain on.

I've never had an issue in multiple seasons of cyclocross (check out the pic -- works flawlessly in mud!).

Setup can be tricky and may require multiple attempts to prevent chain rub in the big / small cogs.

PROS: Light, Made in the USA, Attractive, Durable, High Quality

CONS: Finicky Setup

Works, but could be a lot better
This product is awesome when it works and horrible when it doesn't. The concept is great but the execution could be a lot better. The problem is that the clamps are not independently adjustable for each axis of movement, meaning that as you tighten down the bolt to keep it in place, it will shift and go out of adjustment. Very annoying. Works pretty much flawlessly once you get it dialed though.

I'd much rather use a clutch derailleur without a chain guide though. Much cleaner and no risk of chain rub.

PROS: Attractive, Light, Durable

CONS: Adjustment Is A Pain, Expensive

BEST USES: 1x10, 1x8, Mountain Biking, 1x9, Road Biking

Good, but watch your chain width
I trust Paul Components, so when I needed a chain guide, I had no qualms about checking out the Paul Chain Keeper. Quality component and good price. However, the chain guide is best for narrow chains. The product description clearly states as much, but I thought my chain would be fine. It was not. Still a quality component, just wasn't the right fit for me. Considering the prices of other options out there, I wouldn't hesitate to check it out if you have a narrow chain.

PROS: quality component, Compact design, price

CONS: Narrow chains

Nicely made, but....
I wanted to go 1x9 on my Niner EMD Medium (2011) frame, but b/c of the welds from the downtube, it does not go low enough. Its more of a "low mount" chain guide. I need to go with a high mount....

Solid Piece of Goodness
I converted my Redline Conquest to a 1x10 and used this little gem for chain-keeping duties. Three races so far and no problems. Does take some time to get just right to avoid chain rub, but not nearly as bad as some reviewers led me to beleive. Looks and feels solid and does the job. Made by some dude named Paul.

PROS: Easy To Install, Works as intended, High Quality

BEST USES: Ss Conversion, CX
