Comments about Pearl Izumi Race RD Series Shoes:

This shoe gets a lot of undeserved flak on this site and I'm not entirely sure why. I shopped around a lot before I bought these and they were by far the nicest option given the price range. They're comfortable on long rides and plenty stiff for a beginning\intermediate level rider. They breathe well and are probably best suited for not-so-wet environments.

My biggest complaint about them is the somewhat cheesy tongue but again, given the price point, I won't complain much. 500 miles into my ownership and they've held up very well.

Comments about Pearl Izumi Race RD Series Shoes:

I bought these because of the price. You get what you pay for. I liked the ratcheting buckle and assumed the size would be comparable to other P.I.s I have had. It wasn't. The sole is much more flexy than I would have expected.
