As much a comfortable walking shoe as a tough shoe for shredding the trail, the X-Alp Seek V Shoe spews versatility! The built in lace garage eliminates drivetrain interface, while the dual density EVA X-Alp outsole/midsole features a firmer second density EVA between the pedal and foot for off-the-bike cushioning and comfort and on-the-bike power transfer. The carbon rubber lugged outsole offers superior traction and durability for hiking and running. The X-Alp Seek V is the perfect set of kicks for overnight camping trips with plenty of pedaling involved.

Comments about Pearl Izumi X-Alp Seek V Shoe:
Bought these shoes early January 2014. Been riding them all this season. First off, they feel like they run small, but they don't. There's a lot of padding that packs out. I made the mistake of buying up a size, and wish I hadn't. I don't like my feet to float around in my shoes, and now they do. Never had a problem with the laces coming untied, but the 'lace garage' is lame. I just tuck the loose ends under the cross laces further down the shoe. The shoe feels fine when on, but a bit too flexible to get max pedal power to the pedals. If you're looking for a great dual purpose shoe, this is it. Perfect for short hikes off the bike, or walking around town after riding. The shoes look great too.
