I bought this seat for downhill mountain biking. I ride a men's bike, which came with a men's saddle. I have always worn padded shorts and rarely sit down while dh biking, yet had a very sore bum after every day riding. This was worst at the beginning of the season, or if I rode more than one day in a row. The second day was always excruciating. I have a curvy build and definitely don't have a bum like a man's. I bought this seat on a whim when I was ordering something else, because it was so cheap. SUCH A GOOD DECISION!!!

I rode 3 days in a row of downhill with ZERO pain. Wow. I can't even believe what a difference this seat makes. I didn't think about my backside once and was actually able to concentrate on my riding instead. The seat is soft enough to be comfortable but not so soft that you sink right through it. It is a little wider than most high performance seats but in no way looks like one of those super wide cushy seats that your mom uses when she bikes once every three years. I almost want to buy more to keep as backup in case something happens to mine! If you are considering buying this seat, do it. I have only ridden downhill on it but plan to use it on my cross country bike as well.

I can't comment on durability yet but at such a low price if it only lasts a season I will be happy. It looks well built though, and I imagine this seat will last longer.

I ride an average of 10 miles every day. In summer I tour with a 45 lb. load for an average of 500 to 800 miles a month for months. Had a Brooks Champion for many years but have to relieve the pressure. SO far it works well.

Since this product didn't work for me. I must rate it low, but it may work for those with a different physic then I. The shaving into my thighs completely outweighs the plush after 10+ miles of ridding.

Bought this to replace the worn out Specialized Body Geometry (SBG) seat I got when the bike was new. Really liked the feel of this ARS but bent the rails on the first ride in bumpy trails. I weigh 210 lbs and tend to sit back on the seat so I guess I found the load limit. If it had Ti rails this would be my ideal saddle. On the brighter side, Jenson USA Customer support stood behind the product and gave me a refund without any hassle. Probably a good seat for a full suspension bike or for mild street/trail riding.On-on!

I am picky about seats and I haven't found a downhill-grade seat that isn't painfully uncomfortable to me (too hard and/or too narrow). This seat is excellent in the comfort department with super-thick padding and good width. If you like narrow seats, you might not like this one as it is a little wider than standard seats. One big problem is that the rails are very susceptible to bending (and I only weigh 150). On my hardtail, this seat is guaranteed to be bent by the end of any ride with downhill in it. On my FS bike, this seat has held up much better with the suspension cushioning the blows. Bending isn't really an issue there. Even with the bending issue, this seat is so comfortable and so cheap that I plan to keep running it (bending the rails back occasionally) until I find something better.One last thing: the seats I received in the Summer of '08 had a standard fake-leather type cover on them, not the cloth cover the picture shows.

I've been using a Specialized Alias for the last 18 months, and noticed it's very comfortable up to about 25 miles. After that, it feels like I'm riding on nails. Even with my padded shorts, I haven't been able to go a full 50 miles due to the pain. Today I rode 65 miles on the A.R.S. and I was never uncomfortable. At 40 miles, I could barely tell I'd been sitting on a bike seat. It's probably the best $19 I've ever spent on my bike. I'll be buying the women's version for my wife very soon.

I love this seat, after the grip (stickiness) wore off. I have had one for more than a year. I bought a second one for my 2nd bike. My riding buddy bought one also.We are both happy with this seat. Very comfortable after an all day ride.

The numbness and discomfort my old racing saddle was causing got to the point I wasn't sitting down while riding and thought I was going to have to take the springMaster 2000 off of my beach cruiser to be able to enjoy my rides again.
