This is the brightest rear light I've found, and I feel a lot safer knowing it's behind me. It does fall off sometimes when it's on my belt, but I just snap it back together, it's never broken. It also seems to sip battery juice, I don't have to replace the batteries nearly as often as my front light. The only thing I'd like is the option to buy more mounting brackets for my other bikes. I recommend this light over any other accessory for new riders.

I liked it so much that I purchased it twice. And therein lies the rub. It is prone to flying off and smashing onto the street.
Planet Bike is very nice about warrantee coverage. They replaced it twice. They also provided suggestions for avoiding the same problem in the future. None of them worked for me.
After losing the light four times in four different ways, I went with a different brand and design.

I've been using one of these for three years and had zero problems with it. For the money I don't think you can buy a better tail light. Don't waste your time with Knog's lights, buy this.

I've used a couple of these SuperFlash lights.
They're bright and easy to use, but not the most durable things out there.
If you do a lot of commuting you're better off spending more and getting something with rechargable batteries and regulated output (won't get dimmer as the battery power diminishes).
I invested in the Light and Motion Vis 180 and haven't looked back.
I commute 150 - 200 days a year.

i was on my way home on a nite ride and a driver pulled me over to say my light is too... bright? i told the driver "well i hope so." she drove off unhappy with my remark. i was glad she was pulling away from me as to stopping on top of me.

This thing is awesome, had the lesser planet bike model and this thing is way better. Still going strong, started using it in 2008 full time for 7 months for commuting 16 miles a day in the winter / rain / heat. Battery life is great, don't think I have changed them yet. Very good product, doesn't want to fall off, another nicety.
