Comments about Pletscher Two Leg Kickstand:
This cool looking kickstand is a little better solution than the behind-the-bottom bracket, chain-stay mounted kickstand. It is a little more stable. And it offers the potential of lifting the rear wheel up, which allows you to use it as an ersatz work stand for your bike.
That said, it only effectively works with tandems. On a "half" bike it is not stable enough. On slightly off-level surfaces, you'll spill the bike just enough to frustrate you. Plus, if there is any weight on the rear of the bike, the tripod will be the rear wheel and the two legs of the kickstand. Which means that your front wheel twists in the air. It's just a hassle in a variety of ways. Trust me.
With a tandem, there is enough weight in front of the kickstand that the front of the bike will stay down in all but the most extreme circumstances.

Comments about Pletscher Two Leg Kickstand:
The Pletscher two leg kickstand not only keeps the bike upright on its own (no more scratching paint leaning up against walls, etc), but lets me lift either wheel off the ground as well, so I don't have to tear up my Brooks saddle to fix a flat and spin the wheel. Installation did take some fudging, though. I had to file down one side of one of the plastic bushings to keep it from rubbing against the chain ring, and it wasn't easy to get a good purchase on the hex head bolt between the seat tube and rear fender - an Allen head bolt would have been more convenient. But now that it is installed, I love this kickstand.

Comments about Pletscher Two Leg Kickstand:
The product is great even though the price is steap. I can now park the bike without reguard of something to lean it against. Fully loaded with front and rear panniers the bike is completly stable. I must have for full tourers.
A tough install. Make sure you have enough room on the chainstay bridge. Look closly at how you front dr cable runs. I had to cut a slot in the top of the stand clamp for the cable to passthru. Installation requires some knowledge and tools.

Well I suggest that anyone needs a perfect KickStand to offset heavy loads on your bike rack. Well this is the Product you should consider buying. I had to wait for this item to be restocked. I' glad to get mine, it took 6 days shipping by FEDEX. regular handling. If you need it now, I'd advise you to pay for two day shipping. It's worth the money and this product is "GREAT"...
Comments about Pletscher Two Leg Kickstand:
Very solidly built. Fit well on my Specialized Globe with a kickstand plate. I commute daily with loaded panniers and also pull a child trailer at times. With my old single kickstand this was not adequate. The bike finally took too many tips and I bought the Pletscher. It's very stable now with heavy loads. I can work on the bike with the wheels up in the air. Very handy.
Comments about Pletscher Two Leg Kickstand:
Pretty stoked, hey. Took a couple of goes to get it to stay in the right place and in the end I made a bracket of my own to hold it in place as it kept sliding around on the chainstays but this is more to do with the design of the bike (no kickstand bracket on the LHT...) than the stand. Now that it works it makes changing a wheel or adjusting the gears much easier when I'm out on the road, and at home too. Even with loaded panniers its more than capable of holding up under the strain. Buy it, you will be happy...
