Poc Joint VPD 2.0 Knee Guard 2013

POC's VPD 2.0 Knee protectors are soft and conform highly to your knee for comfort but will protect you during the toughest DH runs. The Visco-Elastic Polymer Dough 2.0 is an evolution of the standard VPD with more impact absorption and protection. No longer will you need to make the trade-off between comfort and protection. Good knee protection
Overall these offer excellent protection, much better than a hard piece of plastic imo. I like the fit (used POCs website fit guide to measure) and they're not too hot in 30c+ riding temperatures. Once I get going, I easily forget they are there for the duration of the ride. BUT, I have experienced some bunching behind my right knee, so much so that I ended up with scabs over a portion of my tendon behind the knee. Not sure why one leg does this and the other doesn't, can only guess it's due to muscle differences.

PROS: Not too hot, Protection, Fit

CONS: Some bunching

Badassness
Best knee pad I have ever owned. Tight on the first ride, but loosen up fast. No slip, and you forget they are on.

Cant any better than Poc
One of the best, if not the best pair of soft Knee pads I have ever tried. They are comfortable, and do not squirm or slide down. These are really meant to be used for Trail/AM riding, pedaling is great and unhindered and offer plenty of protection at the same time.

PROS: Stays put, Durable, Lightweight, Comfortable

CONS: pricey

BEST USES: Mountain Biking, Extreme Sports

great knee pads
I ride pretty agressively and it's wise to have knee protection. These fit the bill nicely. They're extremely comfortable after the first ride, the breathe well, and you do really forget you have them on after a while (that's probably been said a thousand times, but it's true.) They're a bit pricey, but they're well constructed and look like they'll last. The photo here on Jenson shows a smaller POC logo. These have a logo about twice the size and oriented a little differently... not really subdued at all like the one pictured, and pretty loud if you're concerned about such things.

PROS: Well constructed, Comfortable

CONS: Logo Is Bigger Then Pic

Great product
1st time using these they saved my knee during a fall. Landed square on my knee and suffered no injury. Great product worth the money. I have had no fit issue with them at all. They are very comfortable to wear while riding. I mostly ride rocky XC (lots o rock). The only issue with them is that here in Texas they are HOT to wear in the summer (but so is everything else). Buy with confidence.

PROS: Comfortable, Durable

CONS: Hot

Great, but I prefer the Fox Launch Pro
These are my 2nd favorite knee pads of all that I have tried. They have good protection and stay in place while riding or taking a fall. The pads are low profile and comfortable, however, I did experience slight irritation behind both knees. They are durable quality knee pads.

The Poc knee pad has a lot going for it but IMO it's slightly beat out by the fox launch pro knee pad in every category (comfort, maneuverability, fit, protection, cooling, etc...) The Poc knee guards are great but slot into second place as my favorite knee pad.

*On a related note the Poc Joint VPD 2.0 Elbow guard is by far the best elbow pad I have ever used.

PROS: Durable, Lightweight, Versatile

CONS: Not The Most Comfortable, Good Comfort But
