One of the main excuses you'll hear people give about not wearing protective wear is that it's too bulky or uncomfortable to wear while you ride. As some would say that's a pretty lame excuse, there is some truth to this statement. When the gear you're wearing is getting in your way, you're not concentrating on your ride. The Race Face Charge Arm Guards are extremely low-profile and comfortable, even after all day use at the dirt jumps. The stretch mesh construction gives you a second skin fit while remaining breathable and a silicone gripper along the top opening will keep these from slipping and falling.
Stretch mesh sleeve with second skin fit and targeted coverage.
Foam panel with stretch Kevlar cover for nicks and abrasions.
Silicone gripper along inner top opening ensures 'stay-put' fit.
Race Face charge are pads that you really have to know what they are for. They are only for road rash and best for XC riding or road riding. They are very thin, lightweight, and breath well. However, they will not protect for more than just minor road rash.
I have the Fox Enduro pads and they are good but can get hot if riding XC or Trail type rides.
If these were a little bit heavier and still breathed well, they would be great for both XC and Trail type rides. As they are now, they are only good for XC riding.
The pads are put togehter very well. These are very thin pads. Take one of your socks and fold it over your elbow and you'll have the same amount of padding. Not enough for serious trail or enduro riding. I returned tham and got some Leatt pads.
