Comments about Race Face Chester 68/73mm Crank 2012:
As soon as i took it out of the box I was impressed. It is supposed to be a fr/dh crank, so I wasn't expecting a super light crank. I wouldn't call it heavy though. I like the fact that the holes used for mounting the granny gear come with a removable spacer. I run a single ring with a chainguide, and I didn't have to worry about any clearance issues. If I feel like switching to dual rings I can just throw the spacer on there. The only thing I am not a fan of, is the fact that they didn't use the self extracting boltcap to remove the cranks. It was nice when I didn't have to use a puller on my previous raceface cranks. The install instructions are pretty clear, although I overlooked a step or two the first time. (my fault) The spacers on it come preset, but you have to switch one of the spacers over for a chainguide. I have used them on five 10+ mile aggressive trail rides, and a couple of 7-8 mile downhill trails and they have felt solid. I had to tighten the crank bolt once, because it started to squeak. After that, no problems. All together I am very happy with these.

Comments about Race Face Chester 68/73mm Crank 2012:
Great crank for the money, I've been using this from XC to All-mountain and it has not let me down.
The only negative about this crankset is that it creaks until it breaks-in, and will need to be re-tightened about 2-3 times. But it will be quiet and trouble free after that.
