I bought a used bike and needed a shorter stem to accommodate my short arms. So I went from 90mm to this 70mm stem. Works great! It's very light and was simple to install.
It recently survived a pretty major crash unscathed (unlike me).
So far I have no negative comments about it.

This is one of the nicest looking stems I have ever seen. I would even go so far as to say nicer than the Thompson Elite (just a tiny bit). I also find it is the best combination of strength and weight available. The only down side is that the first one I received was improperly machined at the handle bar end and did not clamp the handle bar properly (clearly a quality control issue). However, Jenson was very understanding and sent me a second one that fit perfect... excellent retailer to deal with.

Race Face simply made a killer stem, it's as light if not lighter than my other carbon stem and it works great. Stiff & Responsive. I've got a 70mm on my bike.

I personally wanted a stem to shorten the cockpit of my AM rig, but didn't really want the weight and bulk of a DH stem. The 60mm version of this fit the bill perfectly. The machining is excellent, and I see the logic in the design to keep the majority of the pressure off the bolts. The edges of the stem can be pretty sharp, but will only affect me if I bounce off of it during a crash, so we will see. Holds bars solidly, looks sharp, lighter weight. Grade A all around.
