Raleigh Militis Elite Road Bike 2013
Race-Worthy Geo in a Value-Minded Package
Whether you're pushing off for a Gran Fondo or the local crit practice, as the aluminum sibling to the full carbon Militis, the Raleigh Militis Elite delivers a perfect combo of strategic component placement and a race-oriented geometry. Tipping the scales at an impressive 19 pounds, the Militis Elite is outfitted with a SRAM Rival, Apex and FSA Gossamer drivetrain, which is anxious to fly across the pavement and relinquish zero empathy for the competition, even if that competition is your weekend riding buddies.
With its tapered head tube, oversized down tube, bottom bracket and chainstays, the aluminum version of the Militis frame is talented with minimizing flex and maximizing power transfer, while the small-diameter seat stays are vertically compliant without surrendering their stiffness. The full carbon monocoque fork delivers a compliant front end that gobbles up uncomfortable road vibration well before it makes it's to your hands and other contact areas. As Raleigh's most efficient, responsive, and lightest alloy race frame in 2013, the Militis Elite is an aluminum road race frame done so right that it'll give its carbon brethren a run for their money.
Raleigh Militis Elite Features:
- Butted Kinesium Aluminum frame yields a competitive strength-to-weight ratio, at a competitive price point.
- SRAM Apex/ Rival/FSA 10 speed drivetrain delivers reliable shifting performance in an affordable package.
- Full Carbon Monocoque 1-1/8"to 1.5" Tapered fork smoothens out the road.
- Same aggressive race geometry as the full carbon Militis models for better cornering and a more aggressive riding position.

Raleigh has been building some of the finest bikes for over 3 centuries. That makes them the longest continuously-operating bicycle manufacturer in the world. Raleigh as a brand has spanned some serious history and we know that doesn't happen as a result of delivering mediocre product. They create bikes with a purpose and an intent that is relevant to us, the customers, and how we are using and experiencing these mechanical wonders that are bikes. The first Raleigh models rolled out in 1885 England amongst the horses and steam engines of the time which brought increased mobility and freedom to many individuals. Raleigh, today, still develops their product around the idea that bikes are fun, convenient and practical.
