The Saint Urban bike from Retrospec is designed to be an all-around, mash and destroy city bike. Featuring a blend of fixie and BMX bike’s best traits, the Saint Urban is just as at home zipping through traffic as it is at the skate park. The frame is made from Chromoly steel and is designed to be durable under the extreme conditions of trick riding and heavy commuting. BMX style handlebars give you increased control and allow for a more upright position that is more comfortable and better suited for bunny hoping ledges and doing barspins. The Saint Urban also comes equipped with Retrospec BMX pedals and straps that keep your feet secure when mashing to make that green light or when boosting up to grind a ledge. Whether you are a college student looking for a fun and efficient way to get around campus, a city dweller looking to escape annoying traffic jams and red lights, or are looking for a concrete shredding trick bike, the Retrospec Urban Saint is the ride you’ve been looking for.

Rode twice and the bearing in the right pedal is destroyed all of the bearings are falling out and grinding into dust. Extremely displeased! Cool bike cheap parts.

Comments about Retrospec Saint Urban Bike:

This bike is marketed as an FGFS bike.

The sport has evolved so rapidly in the last year or two that this bike would no longer be considered FGFS bike by most riders.

FGFS bikes on the market today have compact frames, 26" wheels with fat tires, heavy-duty forks, and running 33 or 36 tooth chain rings with 13 tooth cogs in the rear, and finally with splined cranks/ bottom brackets.

If you're not some hardcore FGFS purist, then don't worry. Get this bike. Love this bike. Ride this bike.

TIP: Replace the 48 tooth chain ring with a 5 arm, 110 BCD 1/8" width 44 tooth chain ring or lesser.

BOOM. Quasi-FGFS. Go have fun. This bike is awesome. I get hate from the haters, love from the lovers, and I look/feel awesome on it all-around.

Comments about Retrospec Saint Urban Bike:

Good for the money. I tested State, Fuji, and Micargi before I bought this. The Retrospec felt smoother and is very reponsive with BMX handlebars. Heavier than chromoly, but it feels sturdier. Very easy assembly and looks great.
I upgraded to Shimano Ultegra brakes and will upgrade to better tires once original set wears out. $300 with tax and oversize package fee

Comments about Retrospec Saint Urban Bike:

Just put the Retrospec Saint Urban together and overall, it seems to be a decent bike to get you from point A to point B. It's built solidly so it should take some abuse. That being said, it is heavy. Stock, it comes in at around 25 lbs. Frame material is hi-ten, not chromoly so it's going to be heavy.

It is a very basic bike. There are no braze-on mounts for bottles or a rack. There is a braze-on mount for a front fender but that's about it. The components seem decent but no brand names to compare it to. I haven't really put it through the paces so time will tell.

Since it's so hard to find specs, I've included the following:
    - 49cm (this is from top of seat tube to center of BB)
    - ~30" standover
    - Crankset - 110 BCD 5 bolt - 165mm arms
    - KMC 1/8" chain
    - 25.4 seatpost
    - 36h rims
    - 700c x 32 - ~525g

This was a gift....to myself! I bought the white/black colour - very cool contrast. Mainly for commuting to work and short hops to the bakery, bank etc..
Very well built and the free assembly promo was a plus, just unwrap minor assembly and ride! It is somewhat heavy but I didn't buy this for racing so no issue with that.
Great price for what you get. You won't be disappointed.

Great single/fixed geared bike! Not the lightest, but perfect for cruising around town. Hopping curbs is not problem on this thing. Gearing may be a bit high if you're cruising hills, but that's easily fixed. Just throw an 18 tooth cog on there. Pedal straps are included which is a nice bonus. Perfect bike for the price!

i was surprised of the quality of this bike. for the price you couldn't even find a used bike on Craigslist. personally I would need wider bars and perhaps to gear down a bit, but overall solid ride! have not yet ridden this bike fixed, but it's just as fun set up as a single speed!!
