The clamp of this post is somewhat unusual. It uses two convex "washers" that press onto the underside of a concave post head. Both the washers and the post head are slick and untextured. This can cause some saddle slippage -- I've hit a few potholes that have dislodged the saddle even though it was properly torqued.
The clamp design also has a tendency to creak. Much more so than my Thomson posts. I've fixed this with a little dab of carbon prep paste. It increases the friction between the washers and post head, preventing slippage and creaking.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
