BH introduced the Zaphire model for the US in 2012 as their entry level road bike. It may be entry level in price, but in technology it has everything you will need to hit the road. The hydro-formed 7005 triple butted series aluminum frame comes in at 1300 grams (per manufacturer) to keep the bike light and responsive. The frame offers a slightly longer wheelbase and more upright geometry for a more stable and comfortable ride. The BH carbon bladed forks offer even more value at this incredible price.
Entry level does not mean entry level technology. You will not miss any gears with the Shimano Tiagra 10 speed drivetrain and brake/shifter lever combo. BH specs their Velo saddle, along with Tektro brakes, Titan stem and Vittoria Zafiro 700x23mm tires. The Zaphire rolls on ultra smooth Shimano R500 wheels with 20 spokes in front and 24 in the rear. To keep you rolling regardless of the terrain, the Zaphire is equiped with an FSA Omega Mega EXO compact crank. The 50/34 tooth chainrings will let you conquer any terrain you encounter!
