I have a 2010 RockShox Revelation Race DualAir fork which came with the old 2010 Maxle Light. This new Maxle light update has a cleaner design that does away with the old 'QR' style skewer and protruding bit on the opposite side of the Maxle main lever. Riding DH through a rock garden, I had a rock strike on my fork and next thing I knew was I saw my Maxle skewer (the skinny bit inside the main Maxle shaft) flying off 8ft into the air! Upon checking, the rock impact sheared off clean the entire 'QR' end of the Maxle and the skinny skewer had flown loose. This new Maxle is a fantastic upgrade and is bombproof compared to the old one! Get this upgrade if you like to go rock gardening!

I have a 2010 20mm Maxle Lite fork (RS Revelation)and the 2010 design put too much preload and had too much tolerance stacking, the inner axle broke after the fatigue of two seasons. The re-designed 20mm Maxle Lite is far superior.
