Rockshox Reverb Stealth 125mm Post 2015

Rockshox Reverb Stealth 125mm Seatpost

As indecisive as the trail can be, there is no such thing as the perfect set saddle height. Saddle height is fundamental to maneuverability and pedal efficiency, requiring various saddle adjustments to be made during a single ride. Saddle too high, maneuverability on descents goes out the window. Saddle too low, inadequate pedal efficiency and power on climbs. But who enjoys stopping, climbing off the bike, and making adjustments each time the trail entails. Nobody!... unless of course you use it as an excuse to sneak in a quick breather. The Reverb Stealth is here to assist. The Reverb Stealth is a simple hydraulically-actuated control that allows you to raise and lower your seat on the fly as you desire, simply by pushing a button. Unlike it's Reverb brother, the Reverb Stealth cable routes from the bottom of the seatpost through the frame so that the cable is hidden and out of the way, hence the name "Stealth". You’ll be spending zero time dismounting mid-ride, and all of your time destroying the trail… hope you have a comfy saddle!

Game changer!
This was the first big upgrade I did to my Giant Trance 27.5 3.

The trails I normally ride have a lot of steep ups and downs and this dropper enables me to keep riding by letting me adjust my seat height on the fly. Before the Reverb, I'd have to stop and adjust my seat height every time the trail got steep. Sounds like a petty complaint, but when you're the only one in your riding group without one, you either get left behind or feel like you're slowing down the group.

Installation went smoothly, and that's saying something considering I'm not the best when it comes to this sort of thing. The Reverb came with everything needed for the install except for a length of tubing needed to route the dropper internally. I didn't even need to remove my bottom bracket.

I've only gone on a few rides with it installed so I can't comment on the durability. However, everything down to the the remote seems well built.

There are other seat droppers out there but the Reverb received consistently good reviews in the multiple hours of research I did before pulling the trigger. I'm confident I made the right decision.

The easiest upgrade?
I installed the Reverb Stealth on my Specialized Enduro Comp 29er and 75 miles in, am already in love with this dropper.

I found it really easy to install - flipped my bike over and tied 2 small washers to a piece of dental floss. Fed them through the hole at the last cable attachment point on the downtube, picked the bike up and allowed them to slide down to the bottom bracket, and then they fell right out the seat post tube. Removed the remote lever, screwed in the little red plug, tied it to the dental floss and was able to have the seat post cable routed in minutes. Didn't even have to bleed the system, even after shortening the cable.

I have noticed the "play" in the post that I've read about in negative comments, but to me it's not an issue at all. It's not enough to notice anything during riding, and the infitely adjustable seat makes it a clear winner over the other dropper posts. We'll see how it feels in a year, but the system seems perfect to me right now.

Already setting new personal bests on my favorite trails by always being in the ideal riding position!

This post is my first dropper so I can't compare to others but it has worked great. Makes everything so much better, corners, drops, jumps...everything. Much more confident on the trails. Got this one because it is pretty much the industry standard. kindnof a pain and complicated to install but kinda fun. Overall I recommend this post.

Installed post about a month ago and have been crushing the rides. All the hype you read is true. This product WILL change the way you ride for the better. Quality and operation have been flawless. VERY little side play (0.5-1mm) in the saddle but you don't notice at all when riding.

Self instal (avg mechanical acumen at best) was pretty easy. Just take your time and watch the video from SRAM. Just make sure you have a brake cable to help fish line through frame!!

Every Mountain Biker should have one!
Going from a standard seatpost to a dropper post.. Speechless. I am never going back to a standard post! This allows for more authoritative control and versatility. The Reverb will have me sold 11 out of 10 times when compared to other dropper posts, and the lightest posts out there. I haven't had any problems with it, Rockshox pretty much nailed this on the head, and it will be hard to beat for a while. A lot of dropper posts have 3 or so positions you can position the saddle height, while the reverb, has infinite adjustment. That along with the comfortable hydraulic actuated button AND the internal routing, makes the reverb absolutely unbeatable. Concerned about weight? Not anymore.
