Comments about Rockshox Vivid R2C:
In a market full of shocks with unlimited adjustability...this shock is a breath of fresh air.
The adjustment knobs are simple to understand, there are only 3 of them, and the rider can notice differences in performance with each click.
This is also a very durable shock. No issues after a full race season with 80% of the races being in complete slop.
The only real con with this shock is that the 2nd stage rebound requires a 2.5 mm or 3 mm hex wrench. Not a huge deal but it would be nice if it had a knob instead.
Overall this is a great shock for just about every avid rider/ racer. It's durable and has the prefect amount of adjustability for about 90% of riders. It is a very well rounded setup.

Comments about Rockshox Vivid R2C:
This is mounted on a 2009 Giant Reign X (6.7 inch travel). I've used it for 1 year already and had no problems with leaks or malfunctions. I've ridden this shock at the DH trails in Kelowna, Silverstar, Seymour, & Whistler and very happy with performance. It's easy to setup, there's a quick guide on the rock shox website that really helps with choosing correct setup based on riding style.

Comments about Rockshox Vivid R2C:
Super plush, highly adjustable, eats up everything in it's path. Spares are easy to source. Setup can be a chore, but once you got it spot on, terrific performance. Coils easily sourced at different weights. Can be a headache to replace or remove from your bike depending on your linkage design. (Mine's a Marin Quadlink II). Done DH, FR, AM, and even feels great for XC!

Wicked plush and much better in my opimion then the vanilla, especially when paired with a nukeproof titanium coil.

Comments about Rockshox Vivid R2C:
Overall the Vivid R2C is fantastic. The compression and rebound adjustments are effective. The initial setup process is very quick and easy. When set up correctly, and when its working, the Vivid works beautifully.
Unfortunately, dependebility seems to be a significant issue with the Vivid. I had it mounted for 6 months and under moderate usage it began to leak oil, thus loosing all compression and rebound control. Fortunately, RockShox seems to have a dependable warranty program going.
Overall, I would recommend this shock, especially at the price point.

The Rock Shox Vivid Shock is top of the range and used by many professionals, it is the best shock for its price and is perfect with no cons in my opinion. A must buy for anyone in this price range
