The RockShox Pike is back! Like the long awaited Jay-Z album, the Pike was well worth the wait. After taking a few years off, the Pike has come back to rejoin the RockShox lineup, as the ultimate trail fork. The Pike will turn your bumpy uncomfortable trail into a silky smooth ride. Be warned, the RockShox Pike creates such a comfortable ride that you’ll begin to notice the sweet scent of flowers, chirping birds, and beautiful butterflies fluttering about. It’s totally normal. The RCT3 damper allows you to adjust the rebound and has a three position compression (open/pedal/lock.) Magnesium lowers make for a super light chassis without sacrificing rigidity. Power Bulges reinforce the lower leg to allow for an oversized bushing, which increases the stiffness and maximizes each pedal stroke.

Comments about Rockshox Pike RCT3 26" Fork 2015:

I buy this fork for my enduro bikes. I have been fan of Fox forks for a long time, but in terms of an aggressive ride style this fork really blows my mind. I have to say that this is the best enduro fork for me.
I have been riding this thing for three and a half months and is scary how fast you can go without feeling the obstacles in the trail.

In conclusion, the Pike is the best fork you can buy for enduro.

Comments about Rockshox Pike RCT3 26" Fork 2015:

These forks were awesome right out of the box. Super light, simple set up, beautiful black on black color scheme. I wanted something that I could go hard on without being killed with the weight and these forks are doing great so far. They are buttery smooth at all speeds, both up hill and down! I ended up peeling a few stickers off myself just because I was going for the all murdered out look on my Knolly build and it turned out better than I could have ever expected.

Comments about Rockshox Pike RCT3 26" Fork 2015:

Been on a 2009 Lyrik U-turn 160mm for 5 years. This is obviously a completely different fork. So far I am liking everything. It is super plush up top but, ramps up nicely with the correct use of the bottomless tokens.Basically all the good stuff you read online is true. I am not one to buy into hype but, this seems to be a great fork. Time will tell as far as the ease and necessity of service. Again coming from a Lyrik it will be hard to match but, my fingers are crossed. 4 stars only because I am still a 20mm axle lover.

Comments about Rockshox Pike RCT3 26" Fork 2015:

Upgraded from 32mm Fox Float, added the solid and plush feel to the front end that was lacking. Allows taking lines that weren't quite as nice before. The added 10mm of travel added a touch of stability. At the great price from Jensen you can't go wrong!!

I am very in tune with my Yeti 575. When I put this new fork on after hearing my friends bragiging about it I was truly blown away. It works just like my older mx bikes. You really can feel this fork working all through the travel, well worth the money!!

Comments about Rockshox Pike RCT3 26" Fork 2015:

As a long-time Fox Racing Shox user, I never did like Rockshox forks as my Tora 302 died in a months time and the Fox Talas that replaced it made it clear that Fox makes stunning products, but today in 2014, it seems as if the roles changed.

The 160mm 26" Pike is mounted on a 2014 Santa Cruz Carbon Nomad with a Cane Creek Double Barrel Air CS. Prior to the Pike, I had a 2014 Fox 34 Float CTD FIT, until the aluminum bolt holding it together on one side snapped.
Compared to the Fox 34, I feel as if the Pike is in a different league. Not only is it stiffer and lighter, it also doesn't dive under braking (massive issue with the 34) and has more adjustments to fine-tune on a relatively simple platform with the RCT3 settings.

Riding is done at the Sunshine Coast and Coast Gravity Park. Out on the Coast trails, the Pike feels glorious through loam, rocks, boulders, and anything you throw at it. The most impressive part about the Pike is the amount of mid-stroke support and how it truly feels "Bottomless" with just a single token. The Pike soaks up whatever you throw at it and still maintains composure allowing you to track your front wheel better and simply go faster. It's scary how fast trail bikes can go now.

At Coast Gravity Park, where the 160mm Nomad may look a little small beside the sea of DH sleds, it feels surprisingly at home. Yes, I would have an easier time if I had a DH bike and would definitely be able to go faster, but the Nomad with the Pike is already so much fun that it never crossed my mind while riding CGP. During and after the endless shuttle runs, the Pike did not change in behavior and maintained its same buttery smooth, controlled stroke throughout the entire day of hard laps. I did manage to bottom it out once after hucking it to flat on a drop, but nevertheless, the Pike feels very at home in bike parks.

With Fox bouncing back with their revised Fox 36, the competition is starting to heat up again, but prior to the 36, the Pike was the only mid-travel fork I drooled for. Maybe I'll try the 36 one day, but the Pike works so well that I can't think of upgrading any time soon.
The Pike is set at 60-63 psi, 5 clicks of LSC, 5-8 clicks of rebound, and 1 Bottomless token.

Comments about Rockshox Pike RCT3 26" Fork 2015:

Swapped out my old pike 351 for the dual position 160mm and am not looking back. The adjustments are easy to work and tune. I noticed the air guide sets up a little on the stiff side I'm 195lbs and dropped the psi to 80lbs and now use the full travel. I haven't tried the air spring adjustments but I prefer a more linear rate. Would for sure recommend this to anyone in the market for an new fork.

Comments about Rockshox Pike RCT3 26" Fork 2015:

This fork is incredible and in my opinion a better fork than Fox.
The Pike looks great on just about every bike I have seen one on! The black stanchions really stand out and keep the front end looking really clean! Looks aside, the Pike is packed with tuning features that every rider can appreciate. The RCT3 adjustment (open, pedal and lock) work really well as I found that I kept the fork in the "pedal" position most of the time until I came up to a technical descent and really wanted to put the fork through it's paces. In the "open" position the Pike literally floats over whatever is in front of me as it really soaks up technical features and rough terrain while asking for more! Rock Shox's new Charger damper is really the crown jewel of the new Rock Shox Pike RCT3 in my opinion as it provides buttery smooth suspension that usually isn't synonymous with air suspension forks. Another great feature of the Pike is the low speed compression adjustment that allows you to dial in the fork when it comes to small bump compliance and controlling brake dive.

Comments about Rockshox Pike RCT3 26" Fork 2015:

This is by far the absolute best suspension fork I've ridden in 25 years of mountain biking. I've got the 160mm dual position air version and it is so incredibly smooth, plush and controlled, I can't believe it.

This fork has nearly the small bump sensitivity of a well tuned and broken in 100mm fork but it is also right at home with medium to large hits, chunky sections, and g-outs. The spring rate is very linear with just the right amount of progression at the end of the stroke so you use full travel but never feel it bottom out. The dual position air system works perfectly and has never let me down.

The damper is just incredible, both the rebound and compression dampers are super smooth and predictable giving you total control and confidence in all situations. They are also very adjustable with a broad range adjustment.

The fork feels very stiff and planted, the new Maxle Lite is easy to use and spot-on. My fork was stiction free and buttery smooth right out of the box. I now have around 500 miles of steep and technical Northern Colorado all-mountain riding on it and it feels better than ever.

My only real gripe is that it's pretty pricey but I have never regretted my purchase. This fork transformed my AM rig and I don't want to stop riding it. The performance of this fork makes me want to go faster and push harder on every trail I ride. I hope to enjoy it for years to come.
